Almond Milk Chai

Chai can be made with any sort of milk, from cow’s milk to almond or oat. It’s all based on your preference. The key to making chai is to let the spices cook with the water for a few minutes to let them infuse. You could also add freshly chopped ginger and / or herbs like mint or basil to the chai when you add the spices.

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil, cover the pot and reduce to a simmer for 5 to 7 minutes.
Step 2
Add tea bag. Turn the heat off and let the chai rest for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Strain and cool. Serve over ice.

1 cup almond milk
1 tablespoons chai masala
1 black tea bag (PG Tips preferred)
1 teaspoon honey/sweetener (optional)
