Papaya Smoothie

This may be our favorite house smoothie, period. Inspired by the Mexican papaya con leche, and swapping out sugar for maple syrup, it’s barely sweet with a very smooth finish and allows the flavors of the papaya to come through. Feel free to add a bit of ice or switch out almond milk for heavy cream or another milk of your choice.

Step 1
In a blender, purée almond milk with papaya, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Top with slices of fresh papaya.
1 cup almond milk
2 cups ripe papaya, peeled and cubed
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 to 3 tablespoons maple syrup
Slices of fresh papaya for garnish

Notes & Variations

  • Replace maple syrup with honey, agave, or other preferred sweetener.
