Step 1
Squeeze lemon juice and make sure all ingredients are laid out. Measure each ingredient and put them in the shaker with ice. Shake and strain into two coupe glasses.
Step 2
Garnish with orange peel or edible flowers.
3 ounces (6 tablespoons) Koval Gin (or Greenhook Gin or favorite gin)
1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 1/2 ounces (3 tablespoons) Violette Giffard
1/2 ounce (1 tablespoon) simple syrup
Orange peel or edible flowers for garnish

Notes & Variations

  • Simple syrup is equal parts cane sugar and water.
  • Fresh squeezing citrus in shaken drinks is preferred.
  • We recommend Koval Gin due to it’s lovely floral nature or Greenhook Gin due to it’s herbaceous flavor. However, if you have another favorite, switch it out!
  • For the Violette Giffard, we highly recommend Giffard as the best brand to buy. It is acute and perfect for mixology.
  • We prefer drinking the Violet straight up; but, if you prefer drinks on the rocks, go for it!
  • Don’t like gin? Switch it out for vodka!
